About My Presentation

In furtherance of my interest in assisting children, I have visited numerous schools in order to address students in 6th grade and above with my 2-part presentation.

The first session of my presentation is approximately 45 minutes in duration, and consists principally of identifying what I believe to be the keys to success, both during and subsequent to one’s educational experiences. This session analyzes in detail the importance of work as it relates to providing purpose to one’s life and the role of work in enabling one to become successful.

The second session of my presentation is approximately 45 minutes in duration, and focuses on the learning skill system I developed between my freshman and sophomore years in college. I entered my freshman year on probation, requiring that I achieve a 2.7 average on a 4.0 grading scale. Despite my best efforts, I only achieved a 1.3 grade point average. As a consequence, I was required to enter my sophomore year on “super” probation, which required that I attain and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 during subsequent semesters. I developed my learning skill system at that time. My learning skill system enabled me to achieve improved grade point averages throughout the balance of my undergraduate course work, including a Dean’s List average in my senior year. My system also enabled me to achieve Dean’s List averages throughout graduate school where I received a Master’s Degree in teaching. Thereafter, in law school, my system enabled me to maintain a “B” grade point average, become a Moot Court finalist, become a member of the Law Review, and graduate with distinction. These law school results are remarkable when considering that I was required to work full-time during the day and attend evening law school. I have utilized my learning skill system throughout my professional career. This second session includes an interactive demonstration of my learning skill system, followed by a question and answer segment.

Use of my learning skill system will enable a student to achieve, among other things:

  • Maximization of grades;

  • More time for in-depth research and study;

  • Improved comprehension, learning and knowledge;

  • Broadened skill levels;

  • Elimination of the prospect of failure along with its associated stress;

  • More opportunities to pursue general knowledge and other courses;

  • More opportunities to pursue subjects of personal interest;

  • Significant enhancement of enjoyment of learning.

“Tom Rosensteel has developed a user-friendly educational system based on his personal life experience which speaks to all ages. Yes, it’s designed to be motivational, but it includes application of learning tools in a process that life-long learners will appreciate. Whatever your learning style, there is no substitute for hard work and practice, as demonstrated by Tom’s examples and his personal learning system.”
